COP18  (27/11/2012) - Lord Mayor Adeyemi Olabinjo, the Mayor of Ojokoro, Ojokoro Lagos Government, says that a lot of Nigeria’s current difficulties are due to environmental problems. They have been working to deal with climate change for many years, he says, but are now facing lots of problems, mainly around blockages and draining during the rainy season.

He has come to COP18 to share knowledge and solutions with others states facing similar problems.

In Ojokoro, he says his role is to implement legislative frameworks designed to protect the environment, and a successful new initiative has been planting lots of trees around the city.
