From Warsaw: COP19 UN Climate Change Conference 2013 in November 2013

COP19 (16/11/13) – Protesters took to the streets of Warsaw to register their anger at a lack of progress at the climate talks.

One of the marchers says representatives from the fossil fuel and transport industries have wrapped themselves in the colours of the UN.

Joining the protesters, Samantha Smith, global climate and energy initiative leader at WWF, says governments may have come to take part in climate change negotiations, but it seems we’re moving backwards because the host government is holding conferences with the coal industry, Japan has walked away from emissions reduction commitments and Australia has made it unclear on what its plans for the future are.
