COP18 (06/12/12) – Mafalda Duarte, Chief Climate Change Specialist with the African Development Bank, explains the importance of tracking climate finance.
A group of development banks including the World Bank Group and the Inter-American Development Bank, have developed a tracking and reporting system to build confidence and transparency into the process.
“The main objective is to enhance transparency, trust, accountability and to monitor trends and progress in realising climate investments,” says Duarte.
