COP18: Tackling food insecurity in Niger

COP18 (06/12/12) – Oumar Tankari, Advocacy Advisor at Care International talks about the impacts of climate change in Niger.

He says that the biggest problem comes from the erratic rainfall and he says that the country is experiencing more droughts. He says this impacts people’s capacity to get food.

He talks about the work the government is doing to mitigate food insecurity but says that have limited funds to do so. He says more financial support in order to tackle the deep causes of food insecurity.
