COP18: Time to deliver on climate finance promises

COP18 (30/11/12) – George Awudi, Pan African Climate Justice Alliance says now is the time for climate finance to start reaching people on the ground.
“The promises have been made, this is the time to deliver,” he says referring to the pledge for the Green Climate Fund to mobilise $100bn a year by 2020.
Awudi says a failure to see more climate finance pledged in Doha will mean that Africa will continue to suffer. He calls on developed countries to listen to the people on the ground.
